Longnecks, López Pin Bad Loss on Dodos

The Hialeah Dodos and Bloomington Longnecks were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd at Dodos Ballpark.
The Bloomington Longnecks stymied the Hialeah Dodos, 11-1, at Dodos Ballpark. Mauro López, who had a good day at the plate, was named player of the game. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for Bloomington. Giovanni Mireles, who went 9 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. His record now stands at 4-3.
Also contributing to the win was center fielder Steve Ladner, who stroked a triple in the top of the first for Bloomington. For the game, Ladner went 2 for 6 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times.
Hialeah manager John Muńóz called the blowout loss "ugly."
The Longnecks improve their record to 12-15 with the win over Hialeah.
