Timber Hawks Suffer 9-3 Setback
|
Starting pitcher Victor Brey pitched well enough to help the Scranton Supernovas beat the Augusta Timber Hawks by the score of 9-3. Brey went 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 2, and struck out 5. His record improves to 2-1. The 11th-place Supernovas are now 7-14, the Timber Hawks 10-11.
Martín Álvarez went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once against the Timber Hawks. In the bottom of the first inning, he grounded out, driving in 1 run, putting Scranton in front, 1-0.
