Tucker Runs Hit String to 20 Straight Games Tuesday, July 21st, 2026 Phoenix Hotspur's 22-year-old second baseman Carl Tucker has had a fine run at the plate over the last few weeks. His consecutive-game hitting streak has reached 20 games now. Today Tucker extended the streak by going 2-for-4 against Continentals pitching. The streak has brought him a degree of attention that he has tried to deflect. Tucker always prefers to talk about his teammates' accomplishments rather than his own. After the Youth 4-0 triumph over Chesapeake at Grenadiers Ballpark he downplayed his part in the victory. Carl Tucker singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th and struck out in the 7th. This year Tucker is hitting at a .305 pace with 3 home runs and 35 RBIs. He has played in 63 games and scored 31 times. |
