Hit Parade: Suárez Pops 5 Hits Sunday, July 5th, 2026 Even as a kid, Galtero Suárez said his coaches told him the key to hitting was making contact, and letting everything else flow from there. At Houston Park today, Suárez showed how well he learned that lesson. The 20-year-old catcher had 5 hits in 6 at-bats for the Augusta Timber Hawks, helping his team knock off the Houston BC by a score of 7-6. "They always said, just keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing, make contact and you never know what will happen," he said. "That's all I did today." Galtero Suárez singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, flied out in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off Arnout Els in the 11th.
