Injury Shuts Down Horiuchi for Season Tuesday, August 18th, 2026 "Not what I wanted to hear," said Kingston Township's Shigemasa Horiuchi to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 08/17/2026 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Horiuchi said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Horiuchi has been out of action since he suffered radial nerve compression. In 16 starts this year Horiuchi has fashioned a 4-6 record and a 3.17 ERA. |
