Hoffman Hurls 1787 BC to Shutout Win Sunday, August 30th, 2026 Before the game Will Hoffman liked his chances and his instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing the 1787 BC pitcher whitewashed the Myrtle Beach Seahawks 1-0. Hoffman said in the clubhouse afterward, "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day. My control was awesome. I could throw my curveball even when I was behind in the count." The Delaware starter held Myrtle Beach scoreless, giving up 1 hit while registering 5 strikeouts and issuing no walks. "We didn't have very many good at-bats," the Seahawks manager said in his postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose." For the season Hoffman has compiled a 10-5 record with a 3.91 ERA.
