The Grafton Middies did just enough to secure a 3-2 victory over the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC at Great Northern Field. Nobody did more than pitcher Allen Yohemas, who captured player of the game honors. Yohemas was the winning pitcher and moves to 7-6. He threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 4 walks. The 7th-place Middies are now 34-36, the Northern Lions BC 42-28.

Also having an impact was left fielder Ramón Gómez, who stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth for Grafton. For the game, Gómez went 2-4 with a double.

"I was a little disappointed," said Thunder Bay manager Scott Williams. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
