Plainsmen Win, Hope to Turn around Slow Start
|
Nebraska Plainsmen starter Alejandro Morín was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Washington Generals, 3-2. Jim Unknown picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Wilbert Williams was tagged with the loss. Christian Mustard earned his 1st save in 2 tries.
The most important at-bat for Nebraska came in the top of the ninth inning. With two out, Leonard Hiott reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run, putting Nebraska up, 3-2.
"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Hiott said (again).
The Washington Generals, now 6-6, continue their sluggish start.
