Syracuse Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
|
Pang Qin never let the Syracuse Storm find their groove. Throughout the game, Qin, who is tied for 9th in the SA with a 13 quality starts, relied on his bread and butter, his fastball, in pitching the Tula to a win. Joseph Chartier picked up the save for Chicago, his 21st of the year. The 5th-place Tula are now 52-37, the Storm 34-55.
Also producing for Chicago was right fielder Zahid Kashani, who stroked a single in the top of the fifth. For the game, Kashani went 1-3.
Said Chicago manager Nacho Rivero: "I tell our guys all the time: 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction.'"
