Reapers Get Past Put-In-Bay for 3-2 Win
|
The Reapers took Put-In-Bay pitcher Benjamin Busto's best shot and still were able to claim a win at The Coffin. The final score was 3-2. Busto went 8 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. The Reapers improved to 27-21.
When he came to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Bernardo Rodríguez had a chance to end it. Put-In-Bay pitcher Garrett Harrington had other ideas. But with one out, Rodríguez drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Reapers had the walk-off win.
Rodríguez said afterward that the win gets the team one step closer to its goal.
