Late Rally by Reapers Secures Win
Grim withstood an impressive performance by Syracuse shortstop Vito Middendorf to defeat the Storm, 8-5, at Storm Park. Middendorf was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Grim reliever Francisco Burgos picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Jim Unknown shouldered the loss. The third-place Reapers have won 4 straight games.

Grim grabbed control in the top of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Raúl Moreno delivered a 2-run double, to make it 7-5 in favor of the Reapers.
