|
Phoenix starter Ismael Lara pitched effectively against the Niagara Falls Expos at Hotspur Kiddie Complex. The left-hander led his team to a 3-1 win. Lara got the win, improving to 2-4. He allowed 6 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. Lara allowed 1 earned run. The Expos, now 5-15, have lost 6 in a row.
A key at-bat in the game came in the bottom of the sixth inning when the Hotspur U-21 sent teenager Corey Ferguson to the plate against Expos hurler Ramón Cerrillo.
