Montés Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Chicago in Walk-Off Win
|
The Tula had to overcome a fine effort from Niagara Falls pitcher Manuel Montés to grab a 1-0 win at Ramblers Ballpark. Montés went 8 innings and allowed no earned runs. Chicago, at 10-3, has sizzled in the early going.
Alejandro Pérez was a key contributor to the win for the Tula. In the bottom of the ninth with no one out, the light-hitting pinch hitter stroked a double to right-center. He went 1 for 1 with a double.
