Preckwinkle hits 2 home runs as Herons Squeeze Past Connetquot
The Hammond Herons beat the Connetquot Chiefs, 10-3, at The Heron Refuge. The Herons got a fine performance from right fielder Zeus Preckwinkle, who captured player of the game honors. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The Hammond winning streak has now reached 4 games.

Hammond grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Héctor Rivera delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 4-3 in favor of the Herons.
