The Tacoma Fur Traders topped the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 6-5, with Xavier Pérez playing a big role. Pérez went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Fur Traders in the win. The Fur Traders now own a record of 49-49.

Felipe Trujillo didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run double to put Tacoma on top, 2-0.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Trujillo told the Tacoma Herald. "It's as simple as that."
