Loons Reel Off Another Win
Minnesota Loons starter Gerardo Pagán was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 4-3. In 7 innings, Pagán surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1. He allowed 3 runs. Minnesota has now reeled off 9 straight wins.

Pierre Bernard had a big run-scoring single for the Loons in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Minnesota leading 3-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Pete Rhue and stroked the single to center. It was his 28th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Loons ahead, 4-0.
