The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles beat the Asheville Highlanders, 13-3, at Mercer Island Grounds. Mercer Island catcher Marcos Reyes earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Raúl Pérez earned the win for Mercer Island. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 6 hits, while striking out 8. With the win, he raised his record to 5-1. At 24-15, the Screaming Eagles find themselves in second place in the Premier AA.

Also playing a key role was Mike Russell. The Mercer Island right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, Russell went 2 for 5 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
