Loons Win, Hope to Turn around Slow Start
The Minnesota Loons faced a tough opponent in Asheville pitcher Romano Martínez, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Loony Bin by a final score of 7-3. Martínez went 6 innings and allowed no earned runs. Roy Shively picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-0. He struck out 3 in 7 innings. The Minnesota Loons, now 2-5, have not found much traction so far in 2026.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- none is -- the fans who filled the stands at Loony Bin seemed to enjoy watching the USPL Double A action.
