Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Nobles

David Sánchez did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Milton Dogfish Head from losing, 9-6, to the Bakersfield Nobles at Jerome Grounds. Sánchez was 3-5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The winner was Bakersfield reliever Bryan Houston, now 1-0. The loser was Jim Unknown. The Nobles now have a record of 24-18.
Bakersfield won the game in the bottom of the 11th inning. That's when designated hitter Pancho García hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Nobles fans to their feet.
"It was terrific getting this win," García said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
