The Pure Michigan Great Lakers and Royse City Targaryens obliged those fans who came to Royse City Stadium hoping for an exciting game.

Eric Thackston added some punch to the Pure Michigan offense, helping them outmuscle the Royse City Targaryens, 11-10. In the game, Thackston, who is tied for 9th in the PAAA with a .500 slugging percentage, went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Earning his 1st save of the year was Jim Unknown.

Pure Michigan right fielder Tim Waters said he was just trying to make contact when he came to bat with the bases empty in the top of the seventh. He did more than that -- Waters hit a solo home run to stake Pure Michigan to a 10-9 lead. His 3rd home run of the season came off Royse City pitcher Harry Mander.

"I hate to be the fly in the ointment," said Waters, "but we could've played better."
