Dominant Performance by Martínez in Sunset District Win
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Sunset District Fog and the Gryfindor Braves, pitcher Júlio Martínez was excellent. The Sunset District right-hander was named the player of the game in Sunset District's 3-1 win. Gryfindor, at 4-10, is off to a poor start in 2026.
Martínez earned the win to move to 2-1. In his 8-inning performance, he scattered 3 hits, striking out 7 and walking 0. The right-hander allowed the Braves few scoring opportunities.
"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said Sunset District manager Rick Nash.
