Rails Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
The Richland Rails dealt the Atlantic City Sonics a 8-7 loss at Rails Ballpark. Frank Sharp was the star on offense. He was 4 for 5 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Roberto Guillén picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 6-4. Brian Brewer was tagged with the loss. Richland, now 29-33, holds 10th place in the Menard's AA.

Late in the game, third baseman Kazu Hishida had a big at-bat for Richland. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single off Brian Brewer. The play gave the Rails a 8-7 lead.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Sharp said. "We did a pretty good job of that today."
