Nationals Rally For 3-1 Win
|
Ottawa Nationals starter António Fabián was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Virginia Beach Deuces, 3-1. Ottawa has a 3-game win streak, while Virginia Beach has lost 3 in a row.
There was more than one reason the Nationals beat the Deuces, but one factor was Warren Martin. In the top of the eighth, the Ottawa center fielder came to bat and hit a run-scoring single. It staked his team to a 2-1 lead.
"We need to keep playing good baseball," Martin told the Ottawa Observer.
