Sergio Ortíz added some punch to the Capital District offense, helping them outmuscle the Greenville 84s, 14-8. In the game, Ortíz, who is rated as the 25th best prospect by BNN, was 2-4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 6. Oswaldo Mobray picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 6-4. Arinori Shibata was tagged with the loss. The first-place Red Knights have a one-game lead in their division.

Randy Tucker's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a cutter from Arinori Shibata for a 2-run single. It put Capital District in front, 9-8.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Capital District manager Don Lookingbill.
