Fighting Dachsunds Continue Skid, Thanks to Rampley, Timber Hawks
Benefiting from Hugo Rampley's productive game, the Augusta Timber Hawks downed the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds, 5-4. Rampley went 3 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Timber Hawks. Augusta reliever Ray Barnes picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Jim Unknown shouldered the loss. The Fighting Dachsunds, now 45-49, have lost 4 in a row.

The outcome might have been different had it not been for Rampley. In the top of the eighth inning, when the Timber Hawks were trailing 3-2, Rampley delivered a two-out 3-run home run for Augusta, giving his team the lead.
