Getting an impressive start from Antenor Elizalde, Augusta beat Vermont by the score of 3-2. Augusta, now 31-38, holds 9th place in the Silver AAA.
One important at-bat came with runners on 2nd and 3rd in the top of the fourth. That's when Scott Kerin, the 20 overall pick in the 2025 draft, hit a sacrifice fly. The Timber Hawks went on to win.
"I liked his command," said Augusta manager Elvis Helton. "Antenor was throwing strikes."
