Lake Monsters Use Late-Game Magic to Beat BC

Houston right fielder Ludovico Trezza was sensational. He was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Vermont beat the BC, 6-5. Trezza was named the player of the game despite the loss. Cherles Gachineiro finished the game for Vermont and earned his 2nd save. With the victory, the Lake Monsters record now stands at 17-19.
Ramón Gómez's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With one out, he rapped a fastball from Katsuyoshi Takuda for a run-scoring single. It put Vermont in front, 6-5.
"Anytime I can help the team, I feel good about it," said Gómez.
