Timber Hawks Come Up Short at Alloway
The Alloway Halberds did just enough to secure a 6-1 victory over the Augusta Timber Hawks at Ballpark of Alloway. Nobody did more than pitcher Jeff Hale, who captured player of the game honors. The winning pitcher was Hale, now 4-0. He tossed 7 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 5 and fanning 8. At 15-10, the Halberds find themselves in third place in the Silver AAA.

In the bottom of the fifth, Alloway second baseman Christovăo Galho had a productive at-bat. With runners on 2nd and 3rd and one out, Galho stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 3-1, Alloway. For the game, he went 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Alloway manager Santiago Vargas. "Our pregame was pretty good."
