Fighting Dachsunds Rally For Late Win Over Flyers
Pennsauken got a terrific game from second baseman José Rodríguez. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Ellenburg, 8-6. Rodríguez was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Ellenburg reliever Artie Chávez was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Manny Hernández took the loss for Pennsauken. With their winning streak at 4, the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds have raced to a strong start this season.

José Vázquez provided some late-game heroics for Ellenburg. In the top of the eighth inning, he hit a run-scoring double. It came on a 1-2 sinker from Manny Hernández and propelled Ellenburg to a 7-6 lead.

"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Vázquez.
