Despite a great performance by Jersey City shortstop Bryan Wilson, the Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds defeated the Sun Caps by the score of 7-6 at Jersey City Grounds. Wilson went 2 for 3 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Ellenburg, now 11-7, has played well in the early going.

José Vázquez had the most critical at-bat for Ellenburg, coming in the top of the ninth inning with one out and runners on 1st and 2nd. Vázquez hit a 1-0 cutter from Oliver Huerta for a run-scoring double. It put Ellenburg in front, 6-5.

"It was a nice win for our side today," said Ellenburg Fighting Dachsunds manager Armando Saldaña. "Not perfect, but we'll take it."
