Late Rally by Timber Hawks Secures Win
Both teams had their chances, but the Augusta Timber Hawks eventually prevailed at Pennsauken Park.

Behind a solid performance from right fielder Abraham Jacobs, the Augusta Timber Hawks defeated the Pennsauken Flyers, 9-4. Jacobs was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Timber Hawks. Augusta reliever Tom Sosa picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Will O'Slattery absorbed the loss.

When the Timber Hawks needed a boost, it was the light-hitting Jacobs who delivered. Facing Pennsauken pitcher Will O'Slattery the top of the ninth with the bases loaded, Jacobs hit his 1st home run of the year. It made the score 9-4.

In postgame comments to the Augusta Gazette, Jacobs said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

Losses have been few and far between for the Pennsauken Flyers so far this season. Their record drops to 9-4.
