Rodríguez Delivers Walk-Off Win for Continentals
The Chesapeake Continentals did just enough to sneak past the Durham Rapiers, 3-2, at Chesapeake Grounds. Chesapeake pitcher Carlos Medina earned player of the game honors. Eddie Schmitt, credited with the win, is now 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. After today's action, Chesapeake sits at 42-48, while Durham falls to 50-40.

Chesapeake won the game in the bottom of the 15th inning. That's when right fielder Jorge Rodríguez hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Continentals fans to their feet.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Medina said.
