Rapiers Come Back Late to Clip Farmers
The inspired effort of Lancaster left fielder José Alcalá was not enough to prevent a 6-5 loss to the Durham Rapiers. Alcalá was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The Rapiers sit in 7th place in the Silver AA with a record of 12-15.

A key at-bat in the game came in the top of the seventh inning when the Rapiers sent teenager Jesús Morales to the plate against Farmers hurler Paco Peña. With a runner on 2nd and a whole stadium watching, the kid controlled his nerves and delivered huge, hitting a single off a 0-2 fastball to score 1.

"Credit where credit is due," said Morales, "this was a team win."
