Farmers Turn Back Casper, 3-2
|
The Lancaster Farmers topped the Casper Ghosts, 3-2, in USSL Double A action at Farmers Field. The player of the game was Lancaster pitcher and Houston, Texas native Jon Shirley. Shirley picked up the win for Lancaster, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 4-0. The Ghosts fall to 7-12 and continue their uneasy start to the 2026 season.
Enrico Mejía went 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Lancaster. In the bottom of the third, with the teams deadlocked, 2-2, Mejía delivered for the Farmers. His run-scoring ground out put Lancaster on top, 3-2.
