Battlekings Come Up Short at Salt Lake City
The Salt Lake City Buzz did just enough to secure a 7-3 victory over the Naperville Battlekings at Spirits Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Brian Morris, who captured player of the game honors. The Battlekings have now dropped 7 straight.

Salt Lake City took the lead in the bottom of the third on a big hit from Vicente Cruz. On a 2-1 cutter from Dan Crowder, Cruz hit a 2-run double. That made it 3-1, Buzz. For the day, Cruz was 1-4 with a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2.

"We're in a funk and we need to shake ourselves out of it," said Naperville manager Bobby Robinson.
