Pitcher Brian Morris was sensational for the Salt Lake City Buzz in his team's 6-0 triumph over the Port Royal Disaster. Morris received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Morris got the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed 2 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Morris allowed no earned runs. The second-place Buzz improved to 38-21.

The Buzz beat the Disaster in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the home run Jung-hwan Kwon produced in the top of the fifth. Batting against Port Royal pitcher Bryan Boyd, he gave his team a 2-0 lead when he hit a 2-run home run.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Morris.
