3AA's Best Starter is Garza Monday, September 1st, 2025 There's something about a young rookie winning the M3L Double A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Carlos Garza, a 20-year-old starter for the Virginia Beach Deuces. In August, he topped off the month with a 4-0 mark and 1.80 ERA in 5 starts, tossed 35 innings, fanned 21 and held opposing teams to a .228 average. Up to now Garza has compiled an ERA of 2.86 with a 8-4 mark over 14 starts. He has 57 strikeouts in 97.2 innings and has held opponents to a .227 batting average. |
