Begay Too Tough, Blanks Hamilton Friday, September 12th, 2025 "That's one thing that has never changed in this game -- pitching can control hitting," the Dodos manager told reporters after today's game. The Coyotes ran into a buzzsaw as Lucas Begay cut them down to size 2-0 with a 7-hit shutout. His skipper added, "He knows exactly what he's doing. He's not going to throw you a good pitch until you make him throw one." In the complete game whitewash the Hialeah hurler doled out 2 walks and registered 3 strikeouts. In the postgame press conference his catcher said, "Lucas goes out there and just goes about his business. I don't think he gets too concerned about what's going on. You can call any pitch and you know where he's going to be." Begay also got some praise from the Hamilton manager. "He really kept us in check today. Everything looked to be moving.
