League Suspends Grimes and Chapon for Brawl Thursday, August 28th, 2025 Baseball officials have notified the Golden Cranes and Belugas organizations that one of their players has been suspended for "inappropriate and aggressive behavior" in yesterday's Santa Barbara-Brinkley contest at Crane Field. Frank Grimes of the Golden Cranes and Jean-François Chapon of the Belugas will have to sit out 3 games for their roles in the free-for-all brawl. Thus far this year Grimes is hitting .263 with no home runs, 11 RBIs and 14 runs scored. In 2025 Chapon has collected no saves. He has 47 strikeouts and 51 walks in 110.1 innings while registering a 4.00 ERA and a 7-7 won-lost record. |
