Horton Rips Port Royal for 5 Hits Saturday, August 16th, 2025 "It was like I was hitting little league pitching again," said Nathan Horton after his 5-hit performanace against the Disaster. "No offense meant to Port Royal, but I could see the ball that well. But this wasn't a kid league park, it was The Bamboo Forest. I'm just not too happy that we lost 13-12." The Sioux Falls second baseman had a fantastic day at the plate, knocking out 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His manager elaborated after the game to the press, saying, "Nathan worked the entire offseason on trying to shorten his swing and stay inside the ball and the hard work is paying off in base hits." "That's what I'm trying to do," Horton said. "Be quick to the ball and let it travel a little farther so I get a better look at it. It sure did work today." Nathan Horton was hit by a pitch in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit a two-run single in the 8th, flied out in the 10th and hit an RBI single in the 12th.
