At The Cocoon José Machado showed how it's done as he went 5 for 6 against the Kennesaw Jets. However this great day with the bat didn't pay off in a victory. The Grand Forks Caterpillars fell 12-10. The manager of the Jets told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames. Luckily we came away with a win today. Machado just didn't get enough help." If Machado keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. José Machado walked in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th, doubled in the 10th and singled in the 12th.
