The Austin Rangers picked up a win at Rangers Stadium, knocking off the Grafton Middies, 4-3. Starting pitcher Art Adams was an essential part of his team's success. Austin reliever Júlio Rodríguez picked up the win, upping his record to 2-7. Lynwood Matos was saddled with the loss. The Rangers now have a record of 37-36.

Enrique Sánchez was the walk-off hero for Austin. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, the Austin designated hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"I was a little disappointed," said Grafton manager Bill Cefaratti. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
