Walleye Come Up Short at Athletic Club KC
Athletic Club KC beat Walla Walla, 6-5. The win in part was due to right fielder Geoff Rivers, who nabbed player of the game honors. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Rubén Rivera earned the save for Athletic Club KC, his 5th of the year. The U-21 have now won 4 straight.

Tied up with the Walleye in the bottom of the fifth, the U-21 got a boost from catcher Pedro Solís. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Solís saw a first pitch fastball from Horatio McAllister and hit a 3-run home run to break the stalemate and put Athletic Club KC on top, 6-3.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Walla Walla manager Arturo Chávez. "The effort was great."
