U-21 Best Dragonblood in Pitching Duel

Athletic Club KC starter Jesús Otero pitched effectively against the Yellowknife Dragonblood at The Dragon Den. The left-hander led his team to a 2-1 win. Otero, now 1-4, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 2, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Earning his 3rd save for Athletic Club KC was Rubén Rivera.
Athletic Club KC left fielder Fernando Rodríguez helped the U-21 go up, 2-1, in the top of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Rodríguez hit a run-scoring single off Yellowknife pitcher Derrick Quispe.
"We were in it," said Yellowknife manager Dan Joseph. "We just didn't score enough runs."
Athletic Club KC now sits in 9th place in the Premier A at 19-30.
