Plainsmen Get 8-1 Win Versus Hammond
|
The Hammond Herons and Nebraska Plainsmen provided some drama at The Heron Refuge.
The Nebraska Plainsmen eeked out a 8-1 win versus the Hammond Herons at The Heron Refuge. Nobody did more than pitcher Kent Scalici, who captured player of the game honors. Nebraska, at 35-52, occupies 8th place in the Silver A.
Levi Tess contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the third. With runners on 2nd and 3rd, he hit a 2-run double. It was one at-bat that helped Nebraska get the win.
"We came out aggressive," said Nebraska Plainsmen manager Juan Sánchez. "We came out swinging the bats."
