Wilder goes 3-for-4 as Republics Squeeze Past Grafton
The New Amsterdam Republics stopped the Grafton Middies, 11-2, at Field of the Middies. The Republics got a big game from Hank Wilder, who went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. With the loss, Grafton drops to 1-6.

Wilder had a game-changing home run in the top of the third. On a 2-0 curveball from Jeff Hale, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Republics a 3-2 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Wilder.

"We take it day by day here," said Wilder, "and today was a good one for us."
