Bruins Rally to Eke Out Win
The Bellevue Bruins outlasted the Niagara Falls Expos in an extra-inning thriller.

The Bruins faced a stiff challenge from Niagara Falls pitcher Javier Matajudíos, but persevered to claim a win at Waterfall Park. The final score was 4-0. Matajudíos went 8 innings and allowed no earned runs. Will Moore picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 5-5. Ernie Carnathan was tagged with the loss.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the 17th inning. With two out, Carlos Cruz hit a 3-1 fastball from Ernie Carnathan for a run-scoring single. It put Bellevue in front, 1-0.

"I like our resilience," said Cruz.

The Bruins move to 43-47 with the win, while the Expos drop to 42-48.
