Screaming Eagles Jolt Lionhearts with Late Rally
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles beat the Lannister United Lionhearts, 6-2, at Lionheart Field. Mercer Island designated hitter Jacob Herman earned player of the game honors with an outstanding performance. He went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Mercer Island reliever José Sánchez picked up the win to move to 3-3. Miguel Cervantes suffered the loss. Mercer Island has now won 4 straight.

One important at-bat came with a runner on 1st in the top of the eighth. That's when Alfredo García, who is tied for 4th in the PAA in stolen bases with 13, hit a single. The Screaming Eagles went on to win.

"I thought we played a nice game," García told the Mercer Island News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
