Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Reserves
|
Starting pitcher Jason Hamilton pitched well enough to help the Athletic Club KC Reserves beat the Milton Dogfish Head by the score of 5-4. George Ricker, credited with the win, is now 3-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. The win puts the Reserves at 41-34, while the Dogfish Head drop to 31-44.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th. That's when Athletic Club KC first baseman Akihiko Oike, facing Roberto Cabrera, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Reserves the 5-4 win.
"It was terrific getting this win," Oike said. "We put in a lot of work to do it."
