Herons Lose to Thunder Hawks in Walk Off
The Ft. Polk South Thunder Hawks had to overcome a big game from Glendale first baseman Lúcio Sánchez to leave Thunder Hawks Ballpark with a 7-5 victory. Sánchez was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Ft. Polk South reliever Jim Unknown picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ralph Horn took the loss. The Thunder Hawks are now 54-43, while the Herons fall to 46-51.

Ft. Polk South won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. That's when pinch hitter Guillaume Colin hit a dramatic 3-run home run, bringing Thunder Hawks fans to their feet.

In postgame comments to the Ft. Polk South Observer, Colin said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
